The Weoley Ward is located in the south west of Birmingham. It has a population of approximately 21,623 residents. There are approximately 8,968 households, 49% of which are owned, 26% are rented from Birmingham City Council, 13% are rented from other registered social landlords. The Ward has eight neighbourhoods: Weoley Castle Central Weoley Weoley Hill Trescott Middle Park Allens Cross Bellfields Bushwood

The Weoley Ward audit commenced in January 2007 and benefits from the Neighbourhood workers service which consists of 4 neighourhood workers who are based on the ward.

The main roads that were audited were linked with specific neighbourhoods to ensure the audit process was carried out as in depth as possible. All land ownership was taken into account this included private land ownership, city council land and private business premises. The Environmental audit identified that there were 358 issues within the Weoley Ward, the main issues were problems with graffiti, detritus and fly tipping.
